Why We’re Taking It To The Streets on Friday, December 11 – Shining Our Light On Copenhagen
The Copenhagen Climate Treaty talks start next week on Monday, the 7th of December, a day that already lives in infamy but now awaits a new nom de plume.
At the end of the first week of those talks, people all around the world will take to the streets of their communities to hold Candlelight Vigils for Survival. We’ll be holding our South Bay Los Angeles 350 Climate Action community’s candlelight vigil in Hermosa Beach.
The reason we’ll be out there is because we know that we’re the ones responsible for President Obama deciding to go to Copenhagen and that we’ll also be the ones who help convince him to lead us to a real deal that gets us to 350ppm.
We know he heard us on October 24, and we’ll make sure he hears us again on December 11. We know he needs our voices to drown out the Greenhouse Gas Gang who are freaking out because when we cut emissions we cut their profits.

If you’ve been wondering just how real the new Chevy Volt that gets 230 mpg in city driving is, well just take a look for yourself. Here’s what the brainiacs at General Motors sent the premier EV car conference on the West Coast.
This one might actually get MORE than 230 mpg in the city seeing as how it has no doors, windows, seats, any interior, hood, roof, underbody or trunk.

The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be
While Exxon continues to spend millions of dollars every single day to defeat climate legislation and desperately avoid having to pay for the damage and destruction their product is responsible for, the souls they’ve bought and paid for in Congress continue to deny the reality of global warming. Of course the carbon collaborators in the coal industry are also getting their money’s worth out of the cartoon characters they have representing their views on television too:
The shameless lying and shilling, from primarily Republicans, comes from the same exact people who claim that our President isn’t an American and from the same exact people who fight only for the health insurance companies as they block and oppose any public health care option by telling old people Barack Obama will murder them if they support his health plan. And they’re the same people who had no problem flushing a trillion dollars down the “Iraq weapons of mass destruction stimulus” for the evil and wealthy of America.
But as much as they work to satisfy the satanic masters who have long held the deed to their souls (while they hold these same minions by the shorthairs) and as much as they hide their true intentions, they cannot hide the truth from those of us with the special X-Ray Specs that reveal the real monsters underneath their masks.

Sure, if you’re a regular Creative Greenius reader you’re already hip to the news, but that only puts you in very enlightened and highly entertained minority.
If you weren’t a fellow traveler along the path of discovery with me, you might believe there is still a debate about the major issues of climate change. But you would be wrong. There is no debate. Get Your Monkeywrenches Ready! Politicians Beg For Climate Change Wake Up Call
While the finely tailored and pampered leaders of the G8 met in Italy to talk the issue of climate change to death and do nothing tangible about it, activists with a more realistic sense of urgency started to take the necessary action to start cutting greenhouse gases right now.
Brave environmental activists from Greenpeace actually took a bold climate initiative today, doing so in my grandfather’s homeland of Italy, where they occupied four coal-fired power plants. It’s a shame they didn’t hold those plants hostage until they turn those plants into “clean coal” plants. Your Greenius wishes he was there with them because coal-fired power plants are the enemy of mankind and deserve to be shut down until they stop killing people and the climate.
In the United States, a different set of high climbers made another powerful statement this time directly on the face of Mount Rushmore with a banner as long as Lincoln’s face reading:
“Americans honor leaders, not politicians. Stop global warming.“

Exxon/Mobil Guilty of Climate Change Coverup. Now Ordered Out of Torrance 3 Years Sooner.
I initially gave Exxon/Mobil till 2020 to get out of Torrance and clean up their toxic mess here in my town. But now that I’ve found out they’re still lying and covering up their role in climate change and the size of their own carbon footprint, I’m going to have to get tougher with them. Some people just cannot be negotiated with and need a swift, hard kick in the ass. Sometimes they need several of them.
The global gangbangers from Exxon/Mobil are like that. They’ll forever claim to be reformed and rehabilitated but in the end they’ll always knife you in the back and sell crack to your kids. It’s just part of their DNA. They’ve been acting that way for generations.
That’s why I shouldn’t have been surprised when I read this today in the Guardian of England:
The world’s largest oil company is continuing to fund lobby groups that question the reality of global warming, despite a public pledge to cut support for such climate change denial, a new analysis shows.
